FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATION
Digital Mosaic has experienced practitioners that help drive the implementation process from business requirements to functional and systems design. Our focus is the efficient transition of deliverables from early stage definition of requirements into a robust functional specification for systems.
Since we start with such a strong approach to business requirements definition, our practitioners can typically complete the functional specification of a system within very compressed timeframes. Our requirements definition approach is flexible enough to support common decomposition methodologies such as use case analysis, pseudo code development or UML design. Where Digital Mosaic has done both the business requirements definition and functional decomposition, we estimate our scope assessment on delivery to be +/- 5% of actual.
OUR DELIVERABLES INCLUDE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Detailed business functional requirements and design specifications in either use case level or pseudo-code
- Data dictionary and data analyst package
- Identified non functional requirements
- Initial screen mockup and reports layout
- Interface analysis
- Performance criteria for system architects
